Tax Manager - Family Office

About the Role

Join the Family Office for the founders of Easygo. This newly created Tax Manager role gives you dedicated ownership of tax across a private group of associated entities, at the centre of a business built on complex, high-net-worth structures. If you want depth over breadth and direct exposure to that world, this is it.

What You'll Do

Combining hands-on compliance management with proactive advisory support, you'll cover the group's operational, investment and succession activities. Expect close collaboration with investment and legal teams on new structures, acquisitions and disposals, plus direct liaison with external advisors, auditors and the ATO on reviews and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tax compliance across all group entities, including income tax returns, BAS/IAS and FBT returns
• Monitor and manage Division 7A obligations, including loan agreements, minimum repayments and unpaid present entitlements
• Review trust distribution resolutions and minutes ahead of 30 June, ensuring compliance with trust deeds and streaming rules
• Identify and manage international tax considerations, including CFC rules, transferor trust provisions, foreign investment structures and withholding tax
• Provide tax input on new investment structures, acquisitions and disposals
• Act as primary day-to-day liaison with external tax advisors, auditors and the ATO
• Support tax provisioning and cash flow forecasting for tax payments
• Support tax aspects of estate and succession planning, including restructures, entity establishment and wind-ups
• Monitor changes in tax law relevant to trusts, private groups and high-net-worth structures

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years' experience in family office tax or private wealth
• CA or CPA qualified
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian corporate and trust taxation, Division 7A, CGT and Division 6
• Working knowledge of international tax concepts relevant to private groups, including CFC and transferor trust rules
• Proven experience building and managing trusted relationships
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with regulatory bodies like the ATO
• A calm, diplomatic communication style and comfort handling sensitive information
• Resilience and adaptability under pressure, with strong analytical judgment
