Senior Manager - D365 Accounting Operations

Job Description

At the heart of our organisation is a commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality outcomes that create lasting value for our customers and partners. We foster a collaborative culture grounded in continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork—core to how we operate and succeed. As we continue to scale and evolve, finance plays a critical role in ensuring strong governance, operational excellence, and the insights needed to drive sustainable growth.

This role is central to our finance organisation, ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled financial operations that support decision-making and business performance across EMEA. As a key Finance Operations leader, you will maintain strong financial control, deliver high-quality reporting, and enable efficient, scalable operations.

What makes this opportunity compelling is the chance to shape and lead a growing accounting operations function in a technology-enabled environment. You will harness D365 to improve processes, drive standardisation, and embed procedures while partnering with senior finance leaders. This role offers the opportunity to build and develop a high-performing team, influence the future of finance operations, and contribute to broader transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day D365 Accounting Operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and controlled financial processing across EMEA.

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for journals, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, and statutory support.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

  • Drive operational excellence across D365 processes, maintaining quality delivery and close timelines.

  • Partner with Controllers and Finance leaders to meet accounting, reporting, and control requirements.

  • Collaborate across Finance Operations to deliver standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support optimisation and adoption of D365 capabilities.

  • Oversee reconciliations, transactional processing, and issue resolution to ensure data integrity.

  • Support statutory and tax audits through accurate documentation and timely responses.

  • Tack KPIs and performance metrics to drive accountability and improvement.

  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performing team culture.

  • Help build scalable processes and ways of working within the regional finance operations team.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading accounting operations or shared services teams in complex, multinational environments.

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

  • Experience managing high-volume operations with a focus on financial controls.

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

  • Track record of driving process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, partnering with finance leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience maintaining robust internal controls and governance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing and coaching teams.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in shared services or finance transformation environments is advantageous.
