Purpose of the role: 

We are seeking a Senior Technical SEO Executive to join our team. This role is critical for ensuring websites are fully optimised for search engines from a structural and performance standpoint. While content and backlinks drive visibility, technical SEO ensures that search engines can effectively crawl, index, and rank a site.  

This role works closely with internal technical teams, helps prevent critical issues like crawl errors, slow load times, and improper redirects that can undermine organic performance, user experience, and overall site health.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits and present actionable recommendations. 

• Monitor and optimise website crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and internal linking. 

• Manage on-site SEO elements, including canonical tags, hreflang, structured data, sitemaps, robots.txt, and redirects. 

• Identify and troubleshoot crawl errors, site speed issues, and mobile usability problems. 

• Collaborate with developers to implement SEO best practices in code and infrastructure (JavaScript rendering, Core Web Vitals). 

• Maintain and optimise structured data/schema markup across the site. 

• Monitor and report on site health using tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Sitebulb. 

• Support site launches from an SEO perspective. 

• Stay up to date with search engine algorithm changes and SEO industry trends. 

 
Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a technical SEO role (agency or in-house). 

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and how websites are built and rendered. 

• Deep knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. 

• Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Sitebulb, etc. 

• Experience working with CMS platforms. 

• Understanding of server-side factors like redirects, HTTP headers, caching, and hosting performance. 

• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and page speed optimisation techniques. 

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights.
