Job Description

  • Monitor System Performance: Keep an eye on system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise to ensure minimal downtime
  • Perform System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain applications within the IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Teams: Interact with developers and analysts to develop the necessary infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Provide 2nd Level Support: Offer technical support to end-users and the IT Helpdesk to resolve issues for systems, applications, and services
  • Manage Upgrades: Plan and execute application upgrades and security patches
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep records of system configurations, processes, and procedures up to date

Qualifications

Components for success. You… 

  • Have 4+ years of experience in an IT Application Support role with proven work as a System Administrator
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or relevant professional certification
  • Possess strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, particularly in Linux environments
  • Have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including:
    • Web services: Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, WordPress
    • Email services
    • Databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB
    • Linux clusters
  • Bring experience with AWS, MacOS, networking, Bash scripting automation, Git, Papercut printing, and documentation.
  • Are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and can manage time well to meet deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with excellent verbal and written English skills
