Job Description

Rhino Entertainment is a rapidly growing iGaming company, managing and developing the frontend of 8 distinct brands, 3 mobile applications, and a highly customized Cashier frontend alongside a sophisticated middleware solution. Our middleware serves as a CMS and incorporates additional functionalities, including gamification and key compliance features. With multiple licenses in hand, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical team and help us scale, innovate, and ensure compliance.


As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing all aspects of our technology strategy, development, and execution. You will work closely with the executive team to define our technology roadmap, ensure alignment with business goals, and drive innovation across our platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the technology division to deliver world-class solutions that ensure the continued growth, scalability, and security of our iGaming products, while adhering to the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers, developers, and tech professionals across multiple platforms, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and alignment with business objectives.
    • Drive the company’s technology vision and strategy, ensuring that technology investments align with long-term company goals.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the organization.
  • Product Development & Maintenance:
    • Oversee the development and ongoing maintenance of the frontend for 8 brands, 3 mobile applications, the Cashier frontend, and the middleware solution.
    • Ensure the seamless integration of various systems (frontend, middleware, backend) while maintaining a focus on user experience, scalability, and performance optimization.
    • Ensure the middleware solution effectively supports CMS, gamification, and compliance functionalities, continuously iterating to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Tech Stack Review & Innovation:
    • Regularly evaluate and review the company’s current tech stack, identifying opportunities for improvement, optimization, and adoption of emerging technologies.
    • Ensure the tech stack follows best industry standards, and is scalable, secure, and flexible enough to support future growth.
    • Implement robust architecture principles and ensure high standards of software development practices (Agile methodologies, CI/CD, TDD, etc.).
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
    • Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all technology solutions comply with the relevant regulations and licensing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Help define technical solutions and features that ensure compliance, data privacy, and regulatory adherence, including gamification features that align with industry standards.
  • Technology Roadmap & Strategy:
    • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals, market demands, and regulatory requirements.
    • Help define the technology strategy for the next 3-5 years, prioritizing initiatives that will drive the business forward and ensure scalability, security, and competitiveness in the iGaming market.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Collaborate with other executives, product managers, and business leaders to ensure technology supports business needs, enhances user experience, and drives revenue.
    • Provide regular updates to the board and senior leadership on technology initiatives, progress, and performance.
  • Scalability & Performance Optimization:
    • Drive performance improvements across all systems, ensuring a high level of availability, security, and optimal load handling.
    • Ensure that the technology solutions are highly scalable to support the company's growing number of brands, products, and global user base.
  • Security & Data Protection:
    • Ensure that all technology solutions follow best practices for cybersecurity, protecting user data, and maintaining the integrity of financial transactions.
    • Keep abreast of the latest trends in security and ensure that systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.).

Requirements

 

Experience:

    • Proven experience as a CTO or in a senior technical leadership role, with a strong background in iGaming, FinTech, or similar industries.
    • At least 8-10 years of experience in technology development, with extensive experience leading engineering teams and overseeing product development for complex, multi-platform solutions.
    • Strong experience with web and mobile development, particularly in building and maintaining frontend applications and middleware solutions.

Technical Expertise:

    • Expertise in frontend development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue, HTML5, CSS3).
    • Solid understanding of middleware architectures, CMS solutions, gamification technologies, and compliance functionalities.
    • Familiarity with mobile application development (native and hybrid apps) and integration with backend systems.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Strong knowledge of data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
    • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards within the iGaming and financial sectors.

Leadership & Strategy:

    • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving technical initiatives.
    • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align technical goals with business objectives.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
