Purpose of the role:  

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the platform fee calculation, transfer pricing, payroll reports, tax returns, and any other ad hoc tasks required. The Financial Accountant, working on the finance team, will provide a professional and efficient service to the business.  

Key Responsibilities / Duties:  

• Manage the SaaS platform fee calculations.
• Manage the SaaS license fee and annual gaming tax calculation. 
• Take ownership of all the SaaS-related direct costs, opex, accruals and prepayments. 
• Assist with the monthly commentary of SaaS actual against the previous month, budget, and forecast. 
• Assist in transfer pricing calculation. 
• Ensure adequate documentation of processes and procedures are maintained. 
• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit and financial statement preparation process for the Group and its subsidiaries. 
• Manage the monthly payroll journals and reconciliation. 
• Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory and tax returns, ensuring everything is submitted timely.
• Assist with the player balance reconciliation. 
• System administrator for all finance related systems.
• Contact person for all SaaS related finance queries.
• Support the financial reporting manager in managing all ad hoc projects as required.  

Person Specification, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:  

• Previous experience within the online gaming industry is highly desirable. 
• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong practical experience with UK GAAP reporting frameworks.
• Advanced level proficiency in Excel.
• Strong understanding of financial principles. 
• Familiarity with using NetSuite is preferred but not required. 
• The ability to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules such as group. consolidations is preferred but not required. 
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
