About the team

As a Software Engineer in the Sportsbook team, your primary responsibility will be the maintenance and evolution of our Sports betting solutions (proprietary framework, based on a LEMP stack, integrated with some 3rd party features). We seek a professional keen to achieve what is best for the business, capable of collaborating well within a distributed team, across disciplines with experts in other areas (frontend, devops, product, project management and operations) and keen to expand their knowledge in areas of expertise other than software development (leadership, planning, entrepreneurship, facilitation).

In this role, you will need to:

What are the key experience and personal attribute requirements?

• Ability to develop with the LEMP stack:
• Linux systems;
• Nginx: configuration, debug, reverse proxies;
• MySQL - query, optimisation, schemas, debug;
• PHP 7.
• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git).
• Understanding of best coding practices.
• Come up with efficient solutions for code implementation, incidents, firefighting and fixing defects.
• Teamwork attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with legacy systems and maintain other’s code.
